Wayne L. Wilson, MPH
Clinical Research Program Coordinator, GHC

With his experience in clinical trial work and public health, Wayne Wilson brings his enthusiasm for community health and research to GHC as the organization’s Clinical Research Program Coordinator. With a background in clinical trial research support for the US NIH Division of AIDS, research site development, and capacity building for research community, Wayne is bringing almost 20 years of public health research and program delivery. Specifically, Wayne will be working to develop research & programming opportunities building off of the informed models of TB/HIV treatment, care, and research in Cambodia to develop GHC’s larger goals of developing south-to-south collaborations and transfer of skills and expertise.

Wayne’s clinical research work resulted in his managing projects, conducting site development activities, research monitoring, developing research ethics curricula, and providing training support for research studies in Cambodia, Thailand, China, Peru, Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, Nigeria, Ghana, and Haiti. His master of public health was earned at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Health Behavior and Health Education Department with a focus on epidemiology and sexually transmitted infections including HIV. Wayne also brings his extensive non-profit organization management and volunteer experience to assist GHC in reaching their organizational goals.
