Medical and Research Advisor, GHC MDR project
Ermias Diro received his medical degree from Gondar University and completed a residency in internal medicine at Addis Ababa University medical school and Black Lion Hospital. He is currently an assistant professor of medicine at University of Gondar where he is involved in teaching medical students and infectious disease research. He has more than ten years of experience working on different tropical infectious diseases with a current focus on leishmania and tuberculosis and AIDS. Dr. Ermias is the medical coordinator for GHC MDR project in Gondar, the first expansion site for treating of MDR TB patients in Ethiopia. He also provides direct care and supervises management of the MDR patients in the program.

Dr. Hanan Yusuf Ahmed
Lead Physician GHC MDR TB program at Gondar
Dr Hanan is a lecturer and general practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Gondar. She is the lead physician for the MDR TB program at the University of Gondar Hospital in collaboration with GHC. Dr Hanan is a graduate of Addis Ababa University Medical Faculty with three consecutive awards for gender exemplary practices and also outstanding female intern performance. As a member of the academic staff of University of Gondar starting 2008, she is engaged in teaching, mentoring and supervision of interns and medical students and health care delivery in the inpatient and outpatient departments.

Lakech Mule
Lakech has worked as a clinical nurse for over 25 years with a special focus on pediatrics and chronic care for HIV/AIDS patients. She is the head nurse of the TB isolation and MDR TB treatment ward at University of Gondar Hospital run by GHC in collaboration with GUH.
