Our Vision

Untreated, half of people with tuberculosis and all with AIDS die. Treated, most live. Often people do not access the care they need because they are poor, or displaced by war and other calamities.

At the Global Health Committee, we believe that when the poor, the disenfranchised or refugees die from treatable or preventable diseases, it is a tragedy, and an injustice. These lives are stolen, and we cannot stand by.

That's why we are engaged in treating TB and AIDS and why we advocate for access to TB and AIDS drugs for all who need them worldwide. At the same time, our efforts to improve the basic scientific understanding of these diseases set the stage for constantly improving the care and treatment of those suffering from TB and AIDS everywhere.

Our bottom line: All people, no matter where they live or how much money they have, deserve a chance to lead healthy lives and they can, with the proper support and access.
